Solicitors’ practices, accountants, bookkeepers and tax advisers, management consultancies, PR firms, advertising agencies and market researchers: for practice software vendors, publishers, office suppliers and B2B service firms that want to reach professional practices by post or enrich their CRM.
Our UK dataset holds 2 676 396 records (as at 4 listopada 2026); they are not yet assigned to industries. The quote states the size available for this industry.
Export of the whole industry: £379 (full price). Selections by nation, postcode area or your own filters are quoted on request.
Official statistics: 262 090 businesses in the UK according to ONS, UK business: activity, size and location 2026 (enterprises in March 2026, published 24 September 2026). Divisions 69 legal and accounting activities (74,860), 70 head offices and management consultancy (161,660) and 73 advertising and market research (25,570) combined. This is the size of the market, not the size of our dataset.
Name the profession you are after, such as tax advice or management consultancy, and the nation or postcode areas. To match against your own client file, make the Companies House number a required field.
The industry as a whole spans several professions. Email addresses in the export are business addresses published by the firms, not verified decision-maker contacts, and they carry no consent to marketing.
Price of the whole industry: £379. A selection by region, sub-industry or required fields is quoted individually; the whole-industry price is not a price promise for the filtered selection.

The industry brings together three UK SIC 2007 divisions that buyers often treat as one market but the statistics keep apart: legal and accounting activities (69), head offices and management consultancy (70), and advertising and market research (73). Architectural and engineering practices (division 71) have a page of their own: Architects and engineering consultancies.
The UK version of the classification goes one level deeper than NACE, with subclasses for barristers, solicitors, bookkeepers and tax advisers, so a list of bookkeepers need not include audit firms.

Solicitors are regulated, and accountants fall under the money laundering regulations. The public registers confirm a firm’s status; they are not a mailing source, and we do not copy them.
These 15 columns are included.
Division 69 holds both law firms and accountants. For one profession, name the subclass, such as 69.10/2 for solicitors or 69.20/3 for tax advisers. A firm that does both is classified by its main activity, and at Companies House the SIC code is chosen by the company itself: a declaration, not a check.
The legal form matters twice. It tells you whether the firm is on the Companies House register at all, and it decides the email rules: an LLP or limited company is a corporate subscriber under PECR reg. 2, while a partnership in England, Wales or Northern Ireland and a sole practitioner count as individuals, for whom reg. 22 requires consent or a soft opt-in.
A letter to the practice address is not covered by PECR. Where the firm is a named sole practitioner, the address is personal data: give the information required by Art. 14 UK GDPR and honour objections.
Example request: we sell practice management software to accountants and are looking for firms in subclasses 69.20/1 and 69.20/2 in London and the South East with a website, as the basis for a postal mailing. Limited companies and LLPs only, please. How many records is that, and how current are the data?
Use cases
Postal mailing to one profession, region by region.
Invitations to courses, separately for solicitors, accountants and consultants.
Count practices per postcode area before opening a centre.

Where a record carries a UK SIC code, yes: 69.10/2 for solicitors, 69.20/2 for bookkeeping, 69.20/3 for tax consultancy. Where the source does not allow a clear assignment, we say so before quoting.
No. We do not copy any regulator’s register. Firms appear with the business contacts they publish themselves; the register is the place to confirm that the SRA regulates a firm.
It depends on the legal form. Limited companies and LLPs may be emailed without prior consent if you identify yourself and give a valid opt-out address (PECR reg. 23); partnerships in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and sole practitioners need consent or a soft opt-in. Screen numbers against TPS and Corporate TPS before any call. Details: PECR rules for B2B email and calls.
